Wallbrook Primary Academy received a special visit from Wolves representative and School Officer, Soki Makaronus, who had a special delivery featuring 40 copies of Marcus Rashford’s bestselling book “You Are A Champion” to the school.

The book offers an inspiring and practical guide to children, teaching them how to reach their full potential and showcase the endless possibilities available to them. Rashford, one of the world’s most dynamic young athletes, draws on his own personal experiences to teach children the importance of a positive mindset, mental resilience and the unstoppable power of their own voice.

Soki Makaronus said: “The book will show the children how to be the very best that they can be – how to be comfortable with who they are and inspire them to become athletes one day.”

The Wolves Foundation’s generous book donation was greatly appreciated at the school.

Principal, Mrs Lorna McGregor, commented: “We are delighted to receive such a generous donation of books from the Wolves coaches. This gesture will help us move forward as a school in so many ways, through sports, reading and values.”

Marcus Rashford, committed to using his platform of influence for positive change, has firmly made a sweeping cultural impact, beginning with the launch of his program to deliver meals to disadvantaged children during the Covid lockdown, reaching over four million children. His call to end child poverty in an open letter to the UK government was swiftly followed by a policy change which resulted in the extension of free school meals.

Thanks to the Wolves Foundation’s kind donation and inspiring message of Rashford’s book, our pupils are sure to feel inspired, motivated and empowered to reach their full potential and pursue their dreams to lead fulfilling lives.
