Wallbrook Primary Academy Pupils Raises Over £150 for Children in Need

Wallbrook Primary Academy recently held a successful fundraising event in support of Children in Need, raising an impressive £156.62 for the charity. The event saw staff, pupils, and families unite in their generosity, with young learners leading the way through a series of creative and heartfelt initiatives.

In the weeks leading up to the event, pupils worked hard at home, creating a range of items such as posters, bookmarks, and games. These items were carefully designed, coloured, and laminated by the children, who then distributed them to their peers during break and lunchtime. The goal was to raise awareness for the charity while spreading joy and excitement across the school.

The event itself was filled with fun activities, including pupils dressing up in spots and Pudsey Bear costumes. The younger children in the nursery took part in creative activities such as painting their own versions of Pudsey Bear and decorating biscuits with chocolate spots.

Principal Lorna McGregor expressed her pride in the Academy’s efforts, stating, “We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their dedication to this important cause. Their creativity and kindness are a true reflection of some of our core values at Wallbrook. It’s inspiring to see our students come together to support others, and we are grateful for the positive impact they’ve had on our school community.”

The Academy extends its heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the event’s success. Through their collective efforts, the school has made a meaningful contribution to Children in Need, helping to support children who need it most.
