Wallbrook Primary Academy Celebrates Valentine’s Day with Heartfelt Festivities

Love and laughter filled the halls of Wallbrook as pupils participated in a series of exciting activities to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The Academy embraced the spirit of the occasion with music, sweet treats, and a joyful atmosphere, bringing the entire school community together.

Pupils enjoyed a lively Valentine’s disco in the school hall, where they danced to their favourite songs with friends. To add to the celebrations, the children were treated to sweet surprises, including heart-shaped biscuits, which they could enjoy with their lunch or take home as a special Valentine’s gift.

The festivities continued into the evening, with year 5 and 6 pupils having their own special disco after school, creating more wonderful memories to cherish.

Lorna McGregor, Principal at Wallbrook Primary Academy, said: “Valentine’s Day offers a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to come together, celebrate friendships, and spread kindness – whether it’s with friends, family, or the wider community. In today’s world, understanding the value of positive relationships and empathy is more important than ever.

“It was truly heartwarming to see their smiles and the strong sense of belonging that events like these foster. Moments like these remind us of the power of unity and kindness in creating a nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and included.”

Valentine’s Day at Wallbrook provided a fun and meaningful occasion for pupils to reflect on the importance of love in all its forms, strengthening bonds both within its school and wider local community.
